B. Ed in Accountancy is a full-time professional course which is of a total of 2 years duration. The course is divided into a total of 4 semesters for which the exam re conducted at the end of every semester. Through this course, the students are educated about the different concepts of financial information of business, stakeholders, accounts, and management. The aim of the course is to brief the students about accounting, briefing and editing of audit books, assets, liabilities, income, expenses of a company, change in value and credit & debit entries. After completing a course in B. Ed in Accountancy, the candidates can pursue a career as an Accounts teacher in any senior or higher secondary school.

In order to pursue a B.Ed degree in Accountancy, the candidates need to fulfil the given eligibility criteria:

• The candidate must have passed a graduate-level degree in Bachelors of Commerce (B. Com) or an equivalent degree from a recognized University. 

• The candidate must have studied Commerce as the main subject as the graduation level degree.

• The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying degree with all the subjects put together.

• The candidate must have acquired a minimum percentage of 50% in the Commerce subject alone.

Admission Process

The process of admission to B.Ed in Accountancy depends on the college. The candidates can apply for admission through either direct admission or through the entrance test conducted by the colleges. While the direct admission to the course is done on the basis of marks obtained by the student in the graduation level degree, fir some colleges, the students have to qualify the entrance exam conducted, followed by a personal interview. Most of the universities conduct the entrance exam in the month of June July for which the candidates have to apply online. After the application is completed, based on the eligibility, the students have to appear for the entrance test. If the students qualify the entrance test, he/she will have to appear for the final interview round. Based on the overall marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test and personal interview, the admission will be provided to the candidates.

Course Fee

The course fee for the B.Ed in Accountancy depends upon the type and ranking of the college. The private colleges will charge more fee as compared to government colleges. Also, the colleges with a low ranking will have fewer fees as compared to the colleges with a higher ranking. On average, the annual fee for B. Ed in Accountancy ranges somewhere between 10k to 1 lakh per year.
