About B.Ed in Commerce

B. Ed in Commerce is a two years duration undergraduate program which is pursued by the students as a graduation degree. The duration of this course is 2 years which is divided into 4 semesters. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester. The course is majorly focused on the Commerce stream in Bachelors of Education. The students who want to pursue their career as a teaching professional can take admission to this course. The main aim of this course is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge to the students in the stream of commerce subjects such as Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Physical Education, English, etc. The students can become a commerce teacher in any senior or secondary school after completing the course.

B.Ed in Commerce Eligibility Criteria

There are some of the basic academic and eligibility requirements which the candidates must fulfil in order to get eligible for admission into B. Ed in Commerce course. The eligibility criteria which candidates must fulfil in order to get admission to B. Ed in Commerce are given below:

  • The student must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent level examination in any stream from a recognised school/board. 

  • In the 12th or the equivalent exam, the student must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for the reserved candidates) in the 12th exam.

  • For some universities, the students have to qualify the entrance exam and interview conducted by the respective universities.

Admission Process

The admission process for B. Ed in Commerce depends on the various factors. While some of the colleges allow for direct admission to the course on the basis of merit of the student in the 12th exam, for admission to some other colleges, the students have to clear an entrance test which s conducted by the university/college. After the application for admission is completed, the students will be communicated the date and day of the entrance exam in which they have to appear. The exam will be conducted in order to test the basic knowledge of the student in 12th level subjects for the admission. After qualifying the entrance test, the student will be called for the counselling process where the students will have to get their documents verified, pay the admission fee and complete the admission formalities for the course.

Haa, B.Ed degree Himachal Pradesh ke sabhi government and private colleges and universities mein manya hai. Aapki B.Ed degree ke final year of examination mein minimum 50% marks hone chahiye, kisi bhi stream se aur aapki degree recognised university se honi chahiye, tabhi aapki degree Himachal Pradesh mein manya hogi. Agar aapne apni B.Ed degree online ya distanced education mode mein complete ki hai, toh aapke minimum 45%-50% marks final year mein hone chahiye aur apka institution recognised hona chahiye. Himachal Pradesh ke saare colleges and universities mein English ya Hindi (core language subject) B.Ed degree ke liye compulsory hota hai.
