Banaras Hindu University, previously known as Central Hindu College, is a prestigious public central university in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Founded in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, the university is famous for its rich history, sprawling 1300-acre campus, and diverse academic courses. BHU Admission Process 2024
The process for BHU admission has been discussed in the steps below.
Step 1: Apply for the entrance exam applicable to the course you’re seeking admission to.
Step 2: Appear for the entrance exam and qualify for it.

The BHU campus is spread across an area of 1300 acres. It is a lush green campus, well equipped with all the necessary facilities like hostels, library, sports complex, cafeteria, hospital, auditorium, swimming pool, gymnasium, shopping complex, ATM, post office, etc. BHU infrastructure is well maintained with new, improved addition of screening rooms, AV centres, auditoriums, laboratories and indoor & outdoor sports facilities.

BHU Scholarships
BHU offers a wide range of scholarships through the Students' Welfare Fund to provide financial assistance to deserving students. The scholarships include free meals, rewards, and tuition fee waivers and are also available for MBA courses to students with good academic standing. - Underprivileged Students: 50 underprivileged students under the “Free Meal Facility” will be provided lunch and dinner for seven months. Female students using BHU hostels will be reimbursed for the mess charges.
- Blind Students: Twenty blind students under the “Annadaan Yojana” will get free lunch and dinner and Rs 5000 PA.
- Top Rank Holders: Students who are 1st and 2nd rank holders will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 4000 and Rs 300, respectively.
- Students from Economically Weak Backgrounds: Rs 2000 PA will be granted as financial assistance to students (a maximum of 100 students) from economically weaker backgrounds.
- PwD Candidates: A one-time grant of Rs 4000 per student is provided to physically handicapped students (a maximum of 25 students) for their entire course.
- Pyare Lal - Prem Vati Memorial Scholarship: MBA students who top the first-year exams will be awarded this scholarship worth Rs 10,000.
- S.N. Ranade Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to meritorious students enrolled in the MBA Agri-Business course.
