Candidates looking forward to appearing for one of the toughest entrance exams- AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam must go through the AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam pattern. Through the exam pattern, candidates will know all about the marking scheme, the exam structure and the type of questions that will be asked in the exam. Approximately 3 lakh candidates compete each year to get admission into one of the most prestigious medical institutes- AIIMS.
AIIMS MBBS has two sections on Aptitude and Logical Thinking and General Knowledge. For the general knowledge section, it is important that the candidates have an idea of the current affairs and when it comes to the logical thinking section, it is important to practice questions daily.
AIIMS MBBS 2019 will be conducted on May 25 and 26 in four shifts. It is an online exam which will have 200 multiple choice and reason-assertion questions. The questions will be based on classes 11th and 12th syllabus. Candidates can attempt the question paper in English or Hindi but they need to mention their preferred language while filling in the application form.
AIIMS MBBS 2019 will have a duration of 3.5 hours and the paper will be divided into five sections

Section 2-Chemistry
Section 3-Biology (This will include Botany and Zoology)
Section 4-General Knowledge
Section 5-Aptitude and Logical Thinking

According to the official AIIMS booklet, minimum eligible marks for MBBS will be 50 percentile for the general category while for the SC/ST candidates, it will be 40 percentile.
Mentioned below is the marking scheme for AIIMS MBBS 2019:
For each incorrect answer, 1/3 mark (minus-one-third) will be deducted.
For each correct answer, 1 mark is awarded.
AIIMS MBBS 2019 will have multiple choice and reason-assertion type of questions.
Out of the four given options, the candidate needs to choose one correct option.
Candidates appearing for the exam are given Optical Response Sheets to mark their answers.
They need to choose the appropriate circle given against the four options for each question.
For this, they will have to click on the correct answer using the virtual keypad.

The exam is conducted in online mode.
There is negative marking for every incorrect answer.
Duration of the exam will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The question paper will have 200 multiple choice questions from chemistry, biology, physics and general knowledge.

Applicants who wish to clear the AIIMS MBBS must at least clear the AIIMS MBBS 2019. They must know the minimum qualifying marks of AIIMS MBBS 2019.

Often two or more candidates rank the same score in AIIMS MBBS for which the exam conducting body has prescribed a tie-breaking policy. Hence this tie-breaking policy is considered to choose one of the two.
Candidates who would secure higher percentile will be placed higher on the merit list.
In case of a further tie, candidates obtaining higher percentile in Chemistry will be considered.
If the tie still persists then the applicant with the higher score in Physics would be considered.
After this, if the tie is not solved then the age of the candidates will be considered. Candidate senior in age would be considered for the seat.
