Overall: It is the best state funded institute ever in India. JU maintained it top rank position constantly for several years. Primarily it is popular for it's Engeneering branches and placement but there are top renowned faculty members in other streams as well. Undoubtedly the most affordable university in the entire country where one can expect to get their degree within just 5k-10k rupees only. It has 2 huge beautiful campus (other one is in Salt Lake). There so many cultural club/society who are actively organised so many programs and fests through out the years. Many people think JU is very much unstable when it comes to students politics but the reality is a little bit different. We all are united whenever needed. Union helps students in so many ways. Getting sufficient government funding in time is one of the main problem in this university. Other than that the administrative department of this University is little bit slow.

Placement: JU is popular all over India primarily for it's huge placement facilities. Almost every students of Engineering branches get placed who sit for the campus placement. Computer science and Engineering branches are ahed in campusing. They get above 1 crore highest package in every placement drive. Companies like Google, Amazon, Meta etc top multinational companies visit for the campus placements. Average package is nearly 10 lakh annually. It's a dream university for so many students only for it's placement facilities. Apart from Engeneering department, other schools/department students are also eligible to sit for the campus placement but the avarage packages are very low in this case. Mass Communication and Journalism get sufficient package from humanities discipline. After the Pathetic incident of Swapnadip Kundu the reputation of this university slightly changed and many companies who previously visited for placement now they do not visit for the campus placement.

Infrastructure: Jadavpur University's infrastructure is a blend of modern and heritage buildings, spanning 58 acres with well-maintained gardens and green spaces. Academic facilities include modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and research centers like the Advanced Research Centre and Centre for Advanced Studies. The central library boasts over 5 lakh volumes and digital resources, supplemented by departmental libraries. Student amenities comprise spacious hostels, hygienic canteens, recreational facilities, and a stadium. While offering campus-wide Wi-Fi and modern computer centers, areas for improvement include inadequate parking, limited on-campus housing, and outdated departmental infrastructure. There are total 10 canteens in this University. The campus is filled up green trees, lakes.

Faculty: Faculty strength is one of the reason that makes JU special. Each department has very renowned world class and experienced professors with diverse specialisation. JU has enough faculty members but still there are some postion are still vacants and is not full filled for so many years. In my department all the professors are very much student friendly. They take regular classes and guide us for so many co and extra curricular activities. They take regular assessments and arrange seminars.

Hostel: University has a total of 13 hostel including two campuses. 9 of them are Boys hostel and rest are women hostel. Each hostel has mess facility and the food is average. Hostel is somewhat clean. Ragging was the previous culture of these hostels but after the pathetic incidents of Swapnadip Kundu in 2022, the ragging culture is no more there. The hostel is almost free. Approximately 300 Rupees is taken as electricity charges and room rent for the entire year. The monthly mess charges is between 1700-2400 Rupees depending on the hostel. The hostel gate closed after 10 pm. Not all students get hostel, only economically weaker students who is from a remote district get the opportunity to stay in Hostel. Hostels are situated in very nearby distance from the University. 2-4 students are alloted in a room depends on the specific hostel. Drinking water facility and Electricity is okay.

Overall: Overall the experience of jadavpur university is awesome. The best ROI in India.A good placement record almost 100% placement. Good professors. Locality is cheap and gives good vibes. Campus is also lush and green. We have all clubs and societies. Annual fests are organised in JU like Sanskriti, Srijan , Ibdita .. many small technical and cultural fests are also organised by various clubs. Everything adds to he college life which gives a great experience and joy with good friends.

Placement: Almost everyone here get placed, yeah the pay may be lesser. Even the lower branches get 100% placement in JU. For CSE the average package lies somewhere between 18-20lpa. companies like Samsung,Google, Microsoft, pwc, Goldman Sachs, Well Fargo etc. visit for placement.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Jadavpur University lacks behind other colleges. It's a state govt. university so the buildings are quite old. Few classrooms have ACs while a few doesn't. Washroom needs serious improvements. Rest other things are good . When everything else is good the infrastructure is merely looked at.

Faculty: The faculty of JU is highly appreciable. Almost all of them hold a foreign degree with many no of research paper published. attending their class feels really good except a few who are quite boring. Professors are stuck to the old & traditional way of teaching..it would be better if some placement stuffs are incorporated in the curriculum.

Hostel: The hostel is limited and so it's only available for students with low family income. 1st year students stay in a separate hostel. All the basic amenities are provided in the hostel. The fees is very minimal which is Rs 25 for room + electricity and mess charges are like 2000 for 2 times meals a day . General the hostel are 3/4 sharing. They provide beds , almirahs , fans and mirror.

Overall: My experience in this college was amazing. I got best skills and experience. I highly Suggest you to get admission in this college as this is the place where you can nourish your skills .

Placement: Placement is something you'll get stress free about it here . Many of friends have gotten best placements from here only. And you'll too get skills and best opportunities.

Faculty: Faculty is not just about teachers but non teaching staff too. And here you'll get both the best teachers and other cooperative staff . Everyone is skilled and experienced.

Hostel: Hostel is the main concern but you'll get Hostel room whichi will be clean , big and furnished with attached toilet - bathroom . Food is also available here.

Overall: College can be a transformative experience, and this school goes the extra mile to make that happen. They encourage participation in a variety of activities, and the professors are incredibly approachable, ensuring no student feels alone.

Placement: The university boasts a high placement rate (around 80-85%), but the jobs tend to be with mass recruiters or startups, offering salaries in the range of 15-20 thousand rupees. While internships are provided in the first two years during the summer.

Infrastructure: Our college boasts excellent facilities, including well-equipped classrooms and ample parking for everyone. Committed to sustainability, we also prioritize eco-friendly practices. Plus, there's a variety of indoor games to keep you entertained.

Faculty: The professors are encouraging and well-credentialed, providing us with valuable research experience. They use hands-on teaching methods, and we analyze research articles to gain practical knowledge.

Hostel: While the hostel does shut down for cleaning from 11am to 2pm daily, the owners are pretty relaxed about it. Just let them know beforehand if you need access during that time. They'd rather have you out exploring with friends anyway! Hostel life has definitely been a transformative experience for me.

Overall: This college will be a good choice as it is available with nice faculty, great infrastructure, placement cell is also nice which may open a nice door to your upcoming Life.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this college is nice and will give you a good surrounding. This has a good classrooms and also have a nice interior structure which in terms give you a good experience.

Faculty: This college has a good faculty and nice source of things like you can go to it's admin office. They'll solve you queries and they will also give you benefits to solve college premises issues.

Hostel: This college has a nice hostel which will give you a good surroundings and a good image of sense of surroundings. This will help you to have a good internet connectivity and good quality food on time.

Overall: I like the nature of the college. Like greenary and it's beauty I can't explain in words about my college. I think that the whole college students feel like heaven.

Placement: This college placement is from Final year semester students are become eligible for campus placement. We have the placement in our college. Different companies to select our college.

Infrastructure: This college infrastructure is mostly I like the washrooms neatness. Because they wash the bathroom every day. It and clean while using washroom and it's gets not smell.

Faculty: This college faculty is that mostly in our college our faculty were like most talented and mindset lectures because they impact their students to study well.

Hostel: This college is hostel facilities provided. This hostel has every one separate bed and cupboard facility. Bathrooms and toilets are used in common which maintained cleaned regularly by cleaning staff.
