About MAT 2024 (Dec Session Dates Out)

The MAT 2024 exam dates for the December phase have been announced on the official website @mat.aima.in/. The MAT 2024 exam for the December session is being conducted in CBT, PBT, and IBT modes. The MAT registration process 2024 for the December session started on September 7, 2024. Candidates will be able to register for the MAT 2024 Dec session exam till December 15, 2024. The last date to register for the CBT 1 exam online is November 30, 2024. The MAT admit card 2024 for the CBT 1 exam will be made available on December 3, 2024 (5 pm onwards) and the exam will be conducted on December 7, 2024. The registration process for the CBT 2 exam will continue till December 15, 2024. The CBT 2 admit cards will be released on December 18, 2024, and the exam will be conducted on December 22, 2024. Candidates will be able to register for the PBT exam till December 7, 2024. The PBT admit cards will be released on December 10, 2024, and the exam will be conducted on December 14, 2024. The December session results will be made available by the 1st week of January 2025. The MAT result 2024 for the August session exams will be released soon on the official website, tentatively in the second week of September 2024.

Graduates and final-year students in any discipline could fill out the MAT application form 2024 by creating a login ID on the website. The registration fee for MAT 2024 IBT/ CBT/ PBT (single test) was INR 2100. To appear for both CBT and PBT, candidates were required to pay an application fee of INR 3300.

The eligibility criteria for MAT 2024 have been prescribed by AIMA. Candidates who are interested in appearing in the exam must check MAT eligibility criteria 2024 before applying online. The basic requirements are as follows:

  • The candidates must complete a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (Arts, Science, and Commerce).

How to Prepare for MAT 2024?

Here are some MAT preparation tips that candidates must pay heed to to crack the exam successfully.

  • Candidates must read the MAT best books, magazines, newspapers, and online blogs daily to improve reading skills, understanding skills

  • Candidates must keep track of current affairs at the national and international levels. 

  • Candidates must practice MAT mock tests, MAT sample papers, and MAT previous year papers on a daily basis. This will help them to improve their speed and accuracy in solving questions as well as develop familiarity with the MAT 2024 exam pattern. 

  • The candidates must analyze their preparation level regularly to identify their strengths and weaknesses in each section of the MAT 2024 exam.

  • A good strategy for the MAT 2024 test-takers would be to target those topics which have high weightage as this will help to score well. 

  • Time management is the determinant to attempting the maximum number of questions in MAT exam 2024. Hence, it is not advisable to waste time on tricky or tough questions.

MAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

As per the latest official update of the MAT 2024 Exam, there is no specified number of attempts for the exam. The candidates can attempt this exam as many times as they want. The only criteria for eligibility are you have to complete your Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university in India.

  • Candidates are to report to the allotted test centre at least 90 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the test.
  • Candidates will be permitted entry into the test centre up to half an hour before the commencement of the test.
  • Candidates must have a MAT 2024 admit card, valid ID proof, and a blue/black ballpoint pen when reporting to the test centre.
  • The duration of the test is 2 hours 30 minutes. There are 200 questions. All questions are compulsory. Each question has four options marked (1), (2), (3), and (4) or (A), (B), (C) and (D). All questions carry equal marks. There will be negative marks for wrong answers.
  • Take the questions in order, but do not waste time pondering over those that seem extremely difficult or unfamiliar to you.
  • Calculators, Mobile, Electronic Gadgets, etc are not permitted inside the test room.
  • All the questions and instructions of the test will be in English only.
  • Candidates will be allowed to leave the test room after the completion of the test and only after permitted by the invigilator.
  • AIMA reserves the right to cancel the admission/entry to the test/withhold the results of any candidate who impersonates/uses unfair means during the test. 
  • Candidates may need to provide a self-declaration at the entry gate due to COVID-19. The candidate's COVID-19 self-declaration attests to the absence of any ailments or COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Candidates must have a water bottle and personal hand sanitiser with them.
  • Candidates for the MAT PBT mode must bring a black-and-blue ballpoint pen to the MAT exam site.
  • When entering the MAT testing centre and throughout the MAT entrance test, candidates will be required to wear a face mask.
