The University of Hyderabad campus is spread over 2300 acres of land, and is located at Gachibowli, Hyderabad. It is home to over 16 schools and special centres, classroom complexes, student, professor, and residential staff quarters, a 24-hour healthcare centre, and an administration block. The Indira Gandhi Memorial Library is named after Mrs Indira Gandhi, the late Prime Minister of India. The campus has 23 hostels that house around 5000 male and female students. University of Hyderabad hostels are located on north and south campuses to allow students to be closer to their study/research departments.
